Core Values
Statement of Beliefs
-
We believe
the Bible to be the inspired – the only infallible-authoritative
Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17)
-
We believe
there is one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who
subsist in unity, and also as three distinct Persons. (Matthew
28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6)
-
We believe in
the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life,
in His miracles, in His death on the cross to provide for our
redemption and through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection,
in His ascension into Heaven to the right hand of the Father, in His
present ministry of intercession for us, and in His personal and
literal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23 & Luke 1:26-38 &
21:27; John 1:1-4, 14 &6:19; Acts 1:11 &2:22-24; I Corinthians
15:3-4; II Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:24; Philippians 2:5-11;
Hebrews 1:1-4; 4:15; 7:25 & 8:1.)
-
We believe
that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance
from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege
of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16.)
-
We believe
the reality of Satan and his present control over unregenerate man
does exist. (John 10:10; II Corinthians 4:4; John 8:44)
-
We believe
the fall of man and his lost estate makes it necessary to experience
a rebirth through confession and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 5:12, 17)
-
We believe in
the reconciliation of man to God by the death of Christ and His shed
blood. (Romans 10:8; 5:1)
-
We believe
the resurrection of believers in heaven and the resurrection of
unbelievers unto everlasting punishment in hell. (John 5: 28-29;
Revelation 20)
-
We believe in
the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, including the
nine manifestations listed in I Corinthians 12: 8-10, in and among
believers on earth since the Day of Pentecost and continuing until
our Lord’s return. (John 16)
The Living Word Tabernacle is a
family church reaching out to the world. We believe strongly in being
knit together as believers so that we can reach out and touch more
lives.
