“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, til her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.”  Isaiah 62:1

The Bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), to speak out for Zion’s sake (Isaiah 62:1), to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem (Isaiah 62:6) and to bless the Jewish people (Genesis 12:3).  These and so many other verses of the Bible have one overriding message---as Christians we have a Biblical obligation to defend Israel and the Jewish people in their time of need.

Israel’s time of need is NOW.  They are being threatened on every side.  They are not supported within the international community of nations and in fact the overwhelming consensus is that Israel’s identity as a nation is a mistake.  There are enemies who believe Israel should be wiped off the map and at the same time are rapidly acquiring the nuclear technology to accomplish this ideology.

Today, Bible-believing Christian must speak up and stand for Israel.  We must pray and act to do whatever we can to protect Israel’s right to exist and to do so peacefully in the Land God promised them. 

Our faith demands it.  The times require it.  Silence is not an option.

Pastor Melissa and the women of the LOVE Ministry have experienced a new and urgent call to begin earnestly praying for the nation of Israel.  Christians United for Israel was founded by Pastor John Hagee and he has “called to arms” Daughters of Zion to begin uplifting the nation of Israel and CUFI in prayer.   Pastor Melissa has been asked by Rev. Susan Fletcher, the State Prayer Director of Daughters of Zion, to be the city director of prayer for Booneville.  She has accepted this assignment and is honored to be apart of this great effort.

The women's LOVE ministry (Ladies Overcoming Victoriously Everyday) is of vital importance.  At the head of this ministry is our own Pastor Melissa Jones who strives to lead women of all ages in prayer, support, encouragement and fellowship with each other.  Small group meetings, one-on-one contact and large special events such as our Annual Women’s Conference give women the opportunity to identify and use their gifts while reaching out to each other.  As we bond spiritually and in friendship, a connection is created that helps us grow individually as well as together.
